Your provincial health insurance plan covers only essential medical services.
Although often necessary and quite common, the following services are not covered under many provincial health plan:
- Services rendered by health professionals other than general practitioners or medical specialists (chiropractor, osteopath, acupuncturist, etc.).
- Eye care for individuals between 20 and 64 years of age, including eye glasses and contact lenses.
