At Barrons, we use the term "corporate responsibility" in a broad sense to designate our developmental work in various areas aimed at helping us become a more sustainable, responsible and higher performing organization. Under this label we include, among others, best practices and the areas listed below. We are working to advance our understanding and performance in these areas as part of an overall corporate responsibility strategy.

This includes our internal efforts, grounded on solid business basics, relating to corporate culture, shared values and basic principles, standards of business conduct, decision-making processes, compliance with regulatory and governance obligations, and training and development in these areas.

In addition to involvement by our Principals in many local organizations, we are active at the Group level in various bodies that deal with best practices, compliance, corporate citizenship, and other aspects of corporate responsibility. These include, Advocis, the Financial Advisors Association of Canada, the Chartered Life Underwriters Institute, and the Financial Planners Standards Council.
